The First Steps<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From the very beginning, we realized that Team Building Natura\u00ae was closely connected to the principle of \u201csustainable development,\u201d but we never felt the need to analyze the matter in depth.<\/p>

We were satisfied with knowing\u2014instinctively\u2014that our proposal was fully aligned with the concept of sustainability, confident in the fact that, for us, the human being, their well-being, and their personal and professional growth are at the center of everything.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Quality Made<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This remained the case until we began the audit process to join the Quality Made<\/a> business cluster, a high-quality Cultural Identity label that certifies companies whose activities are based on principles of cultural, environmental, and social sustainability<\/strong> (Interreg Maritime EU Project<\/em>).<\/p>

Suddenly, we found ourselves needing to give structure to that inner conviction, in order to explain to the auditors how and why we believed we met the criteria of cultural, social, and environmental sustainability that define the brand.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the same time, sustainability began to emerge more frequently during meetings with companies, especially when our counterparts expressed the need to include our corporate team building programs within broader projects centered on sustainable development.<\/p>

This combination of factors prompted us to take time to reorganize our thoughts and clearly define the connection between Team Building Natura\u00ae and sustainability.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The 2030 Agenda<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We chose to do so by referring to a document we all now know well: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/a>, which outlines the \u201caction plan for people, the planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member states<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>

A resolution that includes 17 goals and 169 global targets<\/strong> that United Nations member states committed to achieving by 2030.<\/p>

An agenda that includes programs to fight poverty, hunger, inequality, and climate change. It promotes actions to ensure health and well-being, quality education, decent work for all, and gender equality. It provides guidelines for clean and affordable energy production, sustainable cities and communities, protection of life below water and on land, the promotion of peaceful and sustainable societies\u2014and much more. <\/p>

In short, something truly ambitious and revolutionary.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yet what we find even more compelling than the individual goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda is the broader context in which it is framed\u2014the foundational principles upon which this resolution was written and signed by 193 UN member states, clearly expressed in the full document<\/a>.<\/p>

For this reason, we focused our attention on the preamble and the core principles of the declaration to explain how Team Building Natura\u00ae fully aligns with the sustainable development program<\/strong>.<\/p>

In this article, we examine the passages that struck us most\u2014those directly or indirectly connected to our proposal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From the very first lines of the declaration, the centrality of people<\/strong> within the 2030 Agenda is clear, with particular emphasis on the development of human potential<\/strong> and individual evolution as essential steps in the long journey toward creating a better world.<\/p>

Every human being\u2014children, youth, men, and women\u2014is considered a true agent of change<\/strong> in this evolutionary process, which aims to achieve sustainable development in its three dimensions\u2014economic, social, and environmental\u2014in a balanced and interconnected way.<\/p>

All of this while promoting and preserving physical, mental, and social well-being<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the risk of stating the obvious, we believe it is important to emphasize how Nature plays a decisive role<\/strong> in our team building programs.<\/p>

For us, it is not merely a setting that hosts us, but a powerful and profound source of inspiration<\/strong>. It is a co-protagonist in the individual and group growth processes<\/strong> that form the foundation of our work. When we are fully immersed in Nature, in a state of presence <\/a>and deep listening, it becomes easier for our \u201cmost human side\u201d to feel free to emerge and experiment\u2014an aspect we know well and have always leveraged in our team building experiences and experiential workshops. <\/p>

Not to mention that woods and forests are ideal environments for facilitation sessions, coaching, and brainstorming, <\/strong><\/strong>as well as for open dialogue<\/strong> in search of new solutions and opportunities.<\/p>

All of this is further supported by the action of phytoncides<\/a><\/strong>, negative ions<\/strong>, and Mycobacterium vaccae<\/a><\/strong>, as well as by the effect that the sounds, scents, and colors typical of natural landscapes have on our bodies and mental faculties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The United Nations 2030 Agenda also recognizes the role of private companies within this ambitious global program, whether they are micro-enterprises, cooperatives, or large multinational corporations.<\/p>

The declaration speaks of investment<\/strong>, creativity<\/strong>, and innovation in seeking solutions and adopting policies aligned with the Agenda\u2019s objectives. It speaks of dynamism <\/strong>and\u2014if we may add\u2014the courage <\/strong>to become aware of one\u2019s role in this epochal transformation<\/strong>, considering the direct economic, social, and environmental impact that every organization can (and should choose to) have. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
