One of the questions we are most often asked during Team Building Natura® presentation calls is:
"This sounds very interesting, but what actually happens during your team building experiences? What kind of activities do you offer?"
The Best Answer
Over time, we have realized that the best way to answer these questions is to share real examples of our outdoor team building experiences, offering our interlocutors a clear and immediate understanding.
This has not been an easy task—and it still isn’t—because we are talking about experiential team building formats that are quite different from traditional corporate approaches.
However, we have found finally an effective way to clearly communicate what Team Building Natura® formats are about.
From Practice to Theory
Today, we no longer limit ourselves to explaining how theory translates into practice—we also follow the reverse path.
We show how practices and activities in Nature, which may initially seem far removed from the corporate environment, evolve into awareness, concepts, and key principles that can be immediately applied in everyday work.
Through direct experience, we explain how we enhance the human dimension, broaden perspectives, and work concretely on processes, relationships, communication, strategy, and many other objectives.
A Series Dedicated to Our Formats
Now, we want to do the same here on the Team Building Natura® blog.
Perhaps in a different format, but with the same goal: starting from real experiences to explain our way of working.
This is exactly how this new series dedicated to our formats was born. Through it, we will share concrete case studies to help you better understand our approach.
What You Will Find in This Series
As you can imagine, we won’t be able to reveal everything. There is a know-how built over time that needs to be protected. However, we will do our best to give you a clear idea of what to expect from our outdoor team building experiences.
We won’t simply provide a chronological account of each day, nor a linear description of what happens.
A Complete Overview
Instead, we will offer a comprehensive overview—starting from the context in which the team building project originates, the objectives shared with the company, and the rationale behind the design, all the way to the key steps and the main outcomes that emerge from working with the group.
We will highlight how our work generates tangible benefits and, above all, what results you can achieve with each of our formats.
We will also broaden the perspective, offering insights to help you understand how to choose the most suitable format for your team.
Every Experience Is Unique
Selecting just three case studies was not easy. There are many projects we could share, each highlighting different aspects of our work.
Because every experience is unique and unrepeatable. Even the same activity, delivered to different groups and in different contexts, produces different outcomes.
A Challenging Choice
However, for editorial purposes, we had to make a selection. We chose three representative case studies that allow us to clearly illustrate our approach and the method we use to support corporate teams in achieving their goals.
Inevitably, these three case studies will not cover every possible scenario, but they will still provide you with a concrete understanding of our work.
What to Expect
That said, we want to be clear from the outset: do not expect a catalogue of activities you can replicate in your next team building session, nor a step-by-step guide to recreating our outdoor formats independently.
Instead, get ready to discover the logic, intention, and approach behind how we design and deliver our team building experiences—guiding your team through an authentic and meaningful journey.
A Proven Working Structure
In this first article introducing the Team Building Natura® formats series, we want to share the well-established structure we use to design our experiences.
This approach defines our way of working, regardless of differences in format, context, group, or objectives.
Of course, these are not rigid rules, but guiding principles that adapt to the specific needs of each project.
Design Phase
Every project starts with deep listening.
We explore needs, expectations, and objectives to create a proposal that is fully aligned with the team’s requirements.
Once the project is designed, we review it together with the company’s point of contact to ensure full alignment on every aspect.
Initial Briefing
The initial briefing is a crucial moment.
This is where we share the project, agenda, goals, and objectives. Most importantly, it is when we begin to foster openness, curiosity, and a sense of individual responsibility among participants.
Outdoor Activities
We then move into the core of our outdoor team building experiences through experiential activities in Nature.
These individual and group practices, inspired by the five Team Building Natura® principles, encourage the human dimension of each participant to emerge and be freely expressed.
At this stage, participants have the opportunity to step outside their usual mental patterns, let go of assumptions and biases, and recognize themselves and others as human beings—awakening innate abilities and exploring their full potential.
Facilitation Sessions
Facilitation sessions between activities help participants reflect on their experiences and the meaning they hold.
In this space of open, honest, and constructive dialogue, we create a strong connection between the experience and everyday work reality.
We offer new ideas, perspectives, and insights, helping the team broaden its understanding of the topics addressed during the team building.
Active Listening
Throughout the entire experience, we maintain active listening toward the group, capturing both verbal and non-verbal communication.
This is essential, as it allows us to continuously adapt the experience to the team’s real needs, which gradually emerge with increasing clarity.
Final Debrief
The final debrief is the natural conclusion of our work.
Here, we give meaning to the experience, identifying key insights that emerged during the team building.
Most importantly, we support the team in defining individual and collective commitments, setting guidelines, goals, and future objectives, and outlining concrete action plans to be implemented back in the workplace.
An Invitation for You
As mentioned, this is the standard structure we use to design our team building experiences—a model we adapt depending on the format, group, and objectives.
We invite you to keep this structure in mind as you read the upcoming articles, to better understand our approach.

The Structure of the Next Articles
The next three articles in this series will follow a simple and intuitive structure.
Each will start from a real case study and use it to explore one format in depth.
Our goal is to help you understand how each format works, how it can be applied, and which objectives it is best suited for.
A closer look that will allow you to fully immerse yourself in our work.
A Continuous Search
Every person, every team, and every organization has its own unique story.
This is one of the most fascinating aspects of our work: the continuous search for the right solution, tailored to the real needs of each group, always ready to adjust along the way.
If our formats have sparked your interest and you believe they may be right for you, we would be delighted to guide you in discovering Team Building Natura® and explore together how we can support the growth of your team.
